David finn, psy.d
Education PSY.D. in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology
Dr. Finn founded Associates in Human Development Counseling in 2000, bringing extensive expertise in clinical and forensic psychology. Specializing in domestic violence, Dr. Finn has conducted pre-sentencing evaluations, led offender groups, and trained therapists, attorneys, and judges. A contributor to the Handbook of Child Custody, Dr. Finn has also worked extensively on court-involved evaluations, including child custody, mental health, and international child abduction cases. With over 800 evaluations completed and a history of expert testimony in county and federal courts, Dr. Finn is a sought-after lecturer on child custody evaluations nationwide, sharing insights with therapists, lawyers, and judges.
When Dr. Finn is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and adventure traveling with his children who enjoy scuba diving, snow skiing, cooking and competition horseback riding.

Tanya has served as the Office Manager at AHDC for over 12 years. She comes to us with over 25 years of finance and office administrative experience for small businesses. Tanya ensures the administrative responsibility of the business is handled professionally and with integrity. As office manager, Tanya handles everything from staff training to general finance.
Nowadays, Tanya joins the team remotely from Florida where she enjoys an active semi-retired life with her husband.

Violeta Suarez Hidalgo, M.A., holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Sociology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is currently working toward professional licensure.
Violeta has over five years of experience at Associates in Human Development, where she serves as Executive Administrative Assistant and works closely with Dr. Finn in the coordination and management of court-involved and high-conflict family cases. In addition to her administrative role, Violeta is currently providing counseling services under supervision, working directly with individuals and families involved in legally complex matters.
Her clinical work focuses on high-conflict divorce, court-ordered therapy, reunification-supportive services, and individual, group, and family counseling. Violeta is 40-hour domestic violence trained and provides services in both English and Spanish. Her approach is informed by forensic training, structured clinical documentation, and an understanding of court processes and multidisciplinary collaboration. She is committed to providing professional, ethically sound services that support the therapeutic goals and legal considerations of each case.
In addition to her professional achievements, Violeta enjoys attending her boys’ soccer games, dancing, reading, and traveling, balancing her career with her personal interests and family activities.
Mark Hagler, LCPC

Mark Hagler has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2001. He brings a solid foundation of clinical experience and forensic knowledge to Associates in Human Development. His style is honest and direct while maintaining warmth and creating a safe environment for his clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. This work is done through Reunification therapy, Individual, Group and Family therapy with the objective of helping families navigate a path toward healing. Previously, Mark spent the first thirteen years of his psychological career as a Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at a school for children and Adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders. During the same period, he worked for six years as a Therapist at Alexian Bros. Behavioral Health Hospital with two of those years spent assessing patients in the Clinical Access Department. This was followed by fifteen years running a Sexual Offender Treatment Program while also assuming the role of Clinical Director of a Community Mental Health Agency for ten years.
Raksmei Dara

Raksmei Dara is a Document Specialist who brings a background in international and federal legal research to Associates in Human Development Counseling. She has supported the U.S. Department of State and the Law Library of Congress, where she contributed to legal analysis and compliance initiatives serving Congress and federal agencies. Raksmei holds a Master of Laws from Penn State Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Arizona. Her interdisciplinary experience in law, policy, and government enhances her ability to support complex legal documentation and cross-jurisdictional analysis with precision and integrity.
Landon Finn

Landon Finn is a forensic clinical intern at Associates in Human Development Counseling, where he supports forensic evaluations through comprehensive document review, record synthesis, and case preparation. His work involves analyzing legal, medical, and psychological records and assisting in the development of clear, organized summaries used in court-involved matters.
In addition to his forensic work, Landon has experience supporting program operations and documentation within behavioral health and collegiate recovery settings, with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and follow-through. He brings a systems-oriented approach to his work, ensuring information is structured, accessible, and reliable for clinical and legal use.
Landon is a senior Political Science major at the University of Colorado Boulder with minors in English and Legal Studies. His academic background informs his interest in law, policy, and behavioral health systems, and he plans to pursue law school following the completion of his undergraduate degree.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing with his dog, reading, watching sports, and scuba diving.
